Regatta Course
: Sailing will take place on the Bay of Warnemünde in front of Rostock –
Warnemünde. The exact course will be defined in the sailing instructions.
Race days
: July,12th … 14th, 2006; the 15th of July 2006 will be a reserve day.
Number of races : According to
German Championship Rules 8.1 six races are planned.
Start of the 1st race : July 12th, 2006 at 11a.m.
Last possible start : July 15th, 2006 at 1p.m.
Max. number of participants : 70 german boats plus foreign participants
Measurement Checks : The Race
Committee will subject boats to random measurement checks. An appointed
committee will check the observance of the rules between July 10th, 4 p.m. and
July 12th, 10 a.m. . There will be no first time measurements.

Deadline: The entry closes on June 11th, 2006.
Entry Fee: The entry fee is 80,00 Euro and has to be paid until the
deadline. If entered the entry fee shall be paid, even if the entry is being
cancelled later, or the boat does not show up. Entry fees will not be refunded.
In order to be free of charge, the transition has to be done in Euro. Entry fee
has to be paid by cheque or draft to the following account:

The receipt has to include information about sail number and name of the
helmsman or woman. It has to be shown on check in. Entries will be accepted only
if the entry fee is paid.
Scoring: The scoring will be
done according to the low-point-system (RRS, app. A). The number of discardable
races is based upon German Championship Rules 10
Prizes: Prizes are awarded by
the German Sailing Association (DSV) for ranks one to three. Ranks one to six
will be awarded charters of honour.
The winning team is honoured with the title "Deutscher Meister der Piraten-
Klasse 2006". The championship-trophy will be given to the winner. Also special
prizes of the sponsors and memorial gifts will be presented.

: The Sailing Instructions and the Notice of Race will be available at
registration.

boat trip on the river Warnow to the premises of the ASV z. R.
* Thursday, July, 13th at 11 a.m.: Start of the 1st of 2 races in the evening:
barbecue at the beach of Warnemünde
* Friday, July, 14th at 11 a.m.: Start of the 1st of 2 races in the evening:
presentation ceremony, championship celebration
* Saturday, July, 15th: last possible start at 1 p.m.
Berthing: Assigned places in
the boat park of the Yachthafen Mittelmole. Accomodation facilities There are a
limited amount of quarters directly on the premises of Yachthafen Mittelmole.

Places for pitching tents and parking caravans will be allocated by the

General Rules
1. The regatta will be governed by:
• the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS)
2005-2008 of the ISAF
• the “Ordnungsvorschriften
Regattasegeln des DSV”
• the class rules of the pirat class
association
• this Notice of Race and the Sailing
Instructions
2. All participating boats shall keep ready valid measurement certificates or
confirmed copies. (Supplement RRS 78)
3. Addenda to RRS:
a) Helmsmen or woman have to be in possession of a sailing
license for the sailing area of the Baltic Sea. They will have to show this at
the
check in if they are asked for.
b) Every helmsmen
or woman is responsible in every respect for the way in which he sails his or
her boat.
c) Every team has to comply with the RRS 19 of the ISAF.
d) All competitors
shall carry personal life jacks on board. The organizers reserve the right to
reject unsuited life jackets.
e) Every boat shall carry a floating rope. It shall be of
sufficient strength, at least 10m length, diameter not less than 8 mm to tow
several boats.
f) The organizers do not accept any liability for a loss of
property, personal injury or damage to property caused by or in connection with
the races.
g) The organizers reserve the right to alter the program.
Alterations will be posted on the "Notice board" at the race offices by 7 p.m.
on the
day before it will take effect. The alternations shall be valid for the
following day.
h) For every participating boat a liability insurance shall
be contracted. The owner shall keep ready the insurance certificate or a
confirmed copy.
