After obtaining the results of Republic Cup Races, Commemoration of Ataturk Race has been started as a second race of the day. Wind, which was blowing with about 4 during the first race, has become stronger and started blowing with 5. Six boats has started the race and followed each other closely
In the first group of TUR 155, TUR 222, TUR 156, and TUR 10, while TUR 155 and TUR 222 have controlled each other closely, TUR 156 and TUR 10 have had a closer competition. TUR 1907 who had a better start at the first race fell behind the first group
At the first leg turns, TUR 155 has been followed by TUR 222, TUR 156, TUR 10, TUR 1907 and TUR 157 respectively. Due to having a narrow wind at the route of reaching, racers have set hoisting at full sail. As a result of this TUR 155 and TUR 222 have widen the distance from the group.
TUR 1907, Serdar Ustel and his team, who have been attending to races for a while, fell far behind the group at the course of full sail due to having no setting hoisting exercises.
At the second leg of the race, order of the boats was almost the same. TUR 155 has sunken when they were leading the race, even though their successful jibing at the course of full sail.
As their first race in this year, TUR 157 Edip Uren has gathered a team at the last minute and attended to championship with no training.
At the finish line, TUR 222 has led to TUR 156 and TUR 10 respectively.
Award ceremony has been held in very close and hospitable atmosphere of Marmara Sailing Club
