Pirat
European Championship 2007, Hamburg
The event has been held in Barth,
Hamburg. 71 Pirat have attended the
championship and Turkey has attended
with 5 Pirats from Istanbul Sailing Club
and Izmit Sailing Club. We would like to
special thanks
to
the President of the International Pirat
Association (IPA), Mr.Jörg Breckwoltd
and Spandauer Yacht-Club, race committee
and everyone who took part.

Turkish Pirat
Championship Races, 2007, has been held
Turkish
Open Pirat Championship has been
organized by Turkish Sailing Federation Pirat
Class Committee between 21- 24 June 2007
in Istanbul Sailing Club hospitality.
26 Pirat and 52 sailors have been
attended to the championship from
Izmit,
Istanbul, Marmara, Galatasaray, Yarimca,
Kalamis, Poyraz, Karamursel and Ankara
sailing clubs.

Istanbul Sailing Club in co-ordination with the Turkish Pirat Class
Association has organized a fantastic sailing week, International Istanbul
Sailing Week, 2006. Race course was sometimes classic
olympic route, sometimes was princess islands.

Championship,2006, has been held in Karamürsel !
July
10, 2006 - Co-operation of Karamursel Municipality, Turkish
Pirat Community and Turkish Sailing Federation have been organized a great
Open Pirat Championship of Turkey, 2006, in Karamursel town. 22 pirat boats
attended the championship with 44 sailors from Karamursel Bey Sailing
Club, Istanbuş Sailing Club, Pasabahce Sailing Club, Marmara Sailing Club, Izmit
Sailing Club, Fenerbahce Sailing Club and Individual. Along the 4 days only
8 races has been held. 1.position went to Hakan -
Reyhan Yilmaz from Izmit Sailing Club while 2. position went to Burcin Ahiskal
- Saruhan Cinay from Marmara Sailing Club and 3. position went to Onur Yasarlar - Gokmen Eris
from Istanbul Sailing Club.

attended a Match race in Ancona,
Italy with Orkun Soyer, skipper last
week. In Trofeo Igienstudio
race, Orkun Soyer's team, which
members include are Burcu
Algon,
Cagatay Soyer
,Franco Polesello, got the 3.position,
winning 5 race of 4. In the
championship boat was j24
class and 10 boat attended.

Turkish Naval Acedemy Cup 2006 race
June 5, 2006 - The
centerboard race has been held in Tuzla Turkish Naval Academy in the Pirat class. There
had been 2 classed competition containing woodens and fibers.
Traditional Navy centerboard races organized
by Turkish Navy School hosting. As traditionally all sailors ate launch together
before the races. Pirat ceremony was in two class, wooden and fiber boats. We
would like to thank Turkish Navy for organization.
