For the sake of sailing sport to be active during Winter, there had been a IYK Winter Cup Sailing Races First Stage  in Optimist, Laser 4.7,Europe,Pirat, 420, Laser Radial, 470 and Laser Standart class in the first weekend at 4th January 2004.

Stage II took place on 18th January with 8-10 knots wind from South in a triangle route in Kalamis Bay with nearly 80 boats and 100 sailors.

The winter Cup will go on on 8th and 22nd February.
